This was a welcome Ray of Light to start an otherwise overcast and gloomy day. What with all the shit going down in the markets yesterday, and the incredible demise of Lehman Bro.s, it would have been very difficult to put on a brave face and continue to enjoy the shows this week in London Town…
But there is hope! – in the form of this article that i found today on the TimesOnline. It is a very encouraging and inspiring piece on the growing power and influence of the London Fashion Scene. Although to me it’s like pointing out the obvious, it describes through the words of several contributors from industry how we are not only a dynamic, vibrant and expressive Fashion Capital, but that we are also nurturing and supporting our new and existing fashion talents so that they can produce and sell their products on a commercial level – enabling them to grow their businesses and establish themselves as forces to be reckoned with in a fiercely competitive industry.
In times of economic crisis such as these, it’s good to know that you’ll be backing a winner if you invest heart, soul, and hard currency in London Fashion.
