Nicole Colovos: “Yeah – we want something that looks kind of Christopher-Kaney; circa SS09, but not TOOOOO much like it. Y’know what I mean?”
Michael Colovos: “Yeah! – something like that – like lots of teeth n’ stuff – really fierce, y’know? But not at all like Christopher Kane – just kind of along the same lines. Like, if Christopher Kane were to design an animal-open-mouth-teeth-baring kind of print for us, and we told him to use his SS09 collection as a starting point for inspiration – what would he come up with?”
Nicole Colovos: “Yeah – exactly. But obviously make it completely different.”
Michael Colovos: “Yeah – completely different, but we still want people to look at it and think – ‘Wow, that tee shirt is as cool as the stuff that those edgy London designers come out with. Helmut Lang is so cool.’”
Nicole Colovos: “EXACTLY. So the same, but different. D’ya kind of get what we’re saying?”
Print Artist: ” *………?!………* “
